Kaleidoscope

Intentional lacerations
By words and deeds
Create a confused world
Of kaleidoscopic images
Filtering oddly in our brains
What we know to be true
Becomes distorted warped
We try to fight the images
The words, the deeds
From sifting, and turning
Overlaying our minds
With images too wrong
To be real
We strive to stand grounded
In a world gone wrong
We fight back against
The images
And find a way to survive

  3. 'Intentional lacerations
    By words and deeds'
Sometimes, words hurt more than deeds, no?
I like the way it ends on a positive note.
